Audrey J. Parr, 72, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Monday, July 30, 2012 at Grande Prairie Health and Rehab.

She was born on June 16, 1940 to George and Fern (Allen) Oldenburg in LaCrosse, WI. She was educated in the schools of Viroqua.

On June 28, 1958 she married Gaylerd Parr in Chaseburg, WI.

Audrey was a talented seamstress who sewed for many bridal parties over the years.

Audrey was a member of Mt. Zion EV Lutheran Church and loved singing in the choir.

Audrey enjoyed ceramics, gardening, was a great cook and organizer, loved to talk, spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and getting together at family outings. SHE LOVED TO TALK!

Audrey is survived by her loving husband for 54 years Gaylerd of Kenosha, her son Mickey of Kenosha, her daughter Laurie Nelson of Kenosha, her mother Fern Oldenburg of Pleasant Prairie, her brothers Roger (Dorothy) Oldenburg of Nolensville, TN and Gary (Sue) Oldenburg of DeSoto, WI, her sister Marylynn Cohn of Kenosha, her grandchildren Joshua, Kurtis, Amelia, Jesse and Elizabeth and her great grandchildren Jonathon, Alexis, Haley, Zakary, Zoey and Faith.

She is preceded in death by her father, her son Marlan Parr on December 19, 1970 and a sister in infancy.

Funeral Services for Audrey will be held on Friday, August 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion EV Lutheran Church (5927 – 37th Ave.). Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home and again on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Please omit flowers; memorials would be appreciated to Mt. Zion EV Lutheran Church in Audrey’s memory.
